We are all in panic mode right now because of the pandemic, and we are all looking for ways to get out of the house. We are also all cooking more from home as well. All of this quarantining and cooking might lead to ideas for an edible garden. If you are thinking about creating an edible garden, here are our tips.
Take The Steps
First, think about what you might want to put in your edible garden. What you can plant in your edible garden largely depends on where you live, and what season it is. You may want to begin by planting a small herb garden on your deck or patio. You could also plant a fruit garden full of strawberry plants, or blueberry and blackberry bushes. Take some time and do some thinking.
After you have thought about what you might want to plant, you can then think about where you want to plant your edible garden. You need to look for a sunny spot in your yard or deck, where your plants can get plenty of sun. Also, think about how you could plant your new edible garden. If you live in a small space, you may want to look at growing your plants on your deck or balcony. If you live in a house, you need to look for the sunniest spot to plant your edibles.
Do some research before you start plotting out your edible garden. Should you start with live plants or seeds? What season should you start planting? What supplies do you need to start your edible garden? Once you’ve answered all of your planning questions, you’re ready to get started. Good luck, and happy gardening!
